Bills’ Micah Hyde fumes at lack of punishment for hit on Josh Allen
Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde was furious at how the officials handled the hit that knocked quarterback Josh Allen out of Sunday’s game.
Allen was hit by New England cornerback Jonathan Jones and appeared to be knocked out cold by the hit. Jones was flagged for a personal foul, but as there was an offsetting penalty on Buffalo on the play, the Patriots essentially suffered no consequences during the game for the hit.
After the game, Hyde was furious at the lack of ejection for Jones. He suggested that a Buffalo defender certainly would have been tossed if Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was hit in a similar manner.

Regardless of the alleged double standard, Hyde definitely has a point about the lack of punishment. Considering a similar play in an earlier game led to a deserved ejection, Buffalo has every reason to be upset. Jones will probably get a fine during the week, but that won’t make the Bills feel better.
