Odell Beckham shades Giants’ gameplan after loss to Eagles
The New York Giants blew a 19-3 lead over the Philadelphia Eagles before ultimately losing on Sunday, and Odell Beckham wasn’t mincing words after the defeat.
Beckham was critical of the Giants’ gameplan, feeling that they should have done more to attack the Eagles’ injury-hit secondary.
Odell Beckham: “Knowing they were struggling (with injuries) in the secondary, personally I would’ve loved to attack them. But that wasn’t in our game plan.”

Fundamentally, Beckham has a point, as the Giants stalled offensively in the second half. A big reason for that was a lack of involvement from Saquon Barkley, who received just five second half touches after torching Philadelphia in the first half. Eli Manning threw for only 58 yards after halftime, and New York ended up outscored 14-3. Given how limited the Eagles’ secondary was, it’s easy to see why Beckham was venting his frustrations publicly, even if the Giants would rather see him keep it in-house.
