Reporter asked Drew Brees ridiculous question after loss to Cowboys
Drew Brees was feeling frustrated enough after he had his worst game of the season in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys Thursday night, and at least one of the questions he had to field during his postgame press conference probably didn’t improve his mood.
After he threw for just 127 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the New Orleans Saints’ 13-10 defeat, Brees was asked a ridiculous question by a reporter who was obviously playing a joke. It just wasn’t really a funny one.
Reporter last night to Drew Brees: “Champ, Champ, on the sunny side, despite tonight not being the berries, you have to believe that your Crescent City buckmen are all set to make a great run at another ice covered roscoe just like the bulldog boys from Canton town.” pic.twitter.com/ZntcZB3gfj

It’s unclear how a “reporter” like that even got credentialed at AT&T Stadium, but apparently visiting players having to deal with wonky questions in Dallas is nothing new.
Not the first time a visiting team player has been asked an intentionally stupid question in Dallas, just designed to get a rise out of a player while wasting the time of all the reporters present. Not sure why the Cowboys keep credentialing these jokers. https://t.co/sP9Ew8tBtR

Any player who has played in a Super Bowl can tell you idiotic inquiries are part of the gig, but Brees probably wasn’t expecting that after a tough loss. He’d almost certainly prefer to face those types of questions in Atlanta in February rather than in Week 13.
UPDATE: It’s been brought to our attention that the prankster goes by Scoops Callahan, and he’s a Dallas area radio host who has been pulling this stunt for years. Here’s some more of his work:
