Richard Sherman has a long memory.
The Seattle Seahawks defensive back remembers how Carolina quarterback Cam Newton tore down a Seattle fan’s 12th Man flag after the Panthers beat them in the NFC playoffs last season. In fact, he’s taken notice of Newton and Carolina’s struggles since – and thinks they’re not just coincidence.

Carolina sits at 4-7 and, as Sherman notes, likely will miss the playoffs. The Seahawks, however, will almost certainly be there, possibly with a bye if they finish strongly enough.
You can see the incident Sherman is alluding to here. It very clearly did not go over well with him, and he seems to be taking some delight in Carolina’s struggles.
