Steelers trading Antonio Brown is reportedly ‘highly probable’
The Pittsburgh Steelers are open to exploring trade possibilities for Antonio Brown this offseason, and one reporter believes a trade is very likely to happen.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen noted over the weekend that the Steelers will owe Brown a $2.5 million roster bonus if he remains on their roster five days after the new league year begins on March 13. For that reason, Mortensen believes there is a “high probability” of Pittsburgh trading the star wide receiver before that.

A lot has been made of the dead cap hit the Steelers would incur if they traded Brown, but reporters have since explained why that has been overstated. If Pittsburgh can find a team that is willing to take on Brown’s salary, the rest won’t have a big impact.
Brown’s relationship with head coach Mike Tomlin and some of his teammates appears to be damaged beyond repair. All indications have been that Brown does not care to repair those relationships, either.
