The Tennessee Titans insist they are keeping all of their options open with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and head coach Brian Callahan believes there are four players who are worthy of the selection.
Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi has repeatedly said that everything is on the table for the Titans with the first overall pick, including a possible trade. But if the team winds up keeping the selection, Callahan told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network that the decision has been narrowed down to four players.
“I think it’s a short list at No. 1 for sure, it’s all the guys that I think are worthy of it, the ones that everyone talks about out there, and between Travis (Hunter) and Shedeur (Sanders) and Cam (Ward) and Abdul (Carter), I think those are, that’s the top of the draft for me, those are the most elite players in the draft,” Callahan said.. “There’s going to be a lot of good ones certainly that come after them, but I think those at this moment are the best players in the draft and at the top of it.”

There were no surprises in Callahan’s list. Most analysts agree that the four players Callahan mentioned are the best in the draft, with a fairly steep drop-off after that.
If the Titans decide not to draft a quarterback, they will likely trade the top pick. Though, it sounds like the price to convince them to trade back would be incredibly steep.
Ward has seemingly distanced himself from Sanders as the top quarterback in the draft. The Titans sent a huge contingency to the former Miami star’s pro day last week. Ward threw the ball well and did nothing to hurt his draft stock.
Will Levis did not make the kind of second-year leap the Titans were hoping for last season, which is why they are widely expected to draft Ward. If they wind up trading back a spot or two, they will likely take one of the other three players that Callahan mentioned.
