Getting arrested last month for public intoxication and drug possession was bad enough for Trevone Boykin, but what’s worse is that the incidents constituted a violation of his probation, leading to a second arrest.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback was arrested on Thursday and released on $2,500 bond, according to TMZ Sports, for violating his probation. They say a warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this week.
Boykin was initially placed on probation after being arrested for getting into a bar fight and striking a police officer on New Year’s Eve. He ended up being suspended for TCU’s bowl game as a result.
Boykin was arrested last Monday after a car in which he was a passenger crashed into a bar.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll did make it sound like the team was planning to keep Boykin despite his legal troubles.
