Given how contentious things have been leading up to the UFC 148 main event between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, it’s no surprise that there was an incident at the weigh-in.
As the fighters came face-to-face, Silva bumped Sonnen with his shoulder. The bump could be considered bush league, but when you’ve endured years of the kind of crap Sonnen talks, that sort of reaction is to be expected.
Many people also figure that any skirmish at a weigh-in is staged to build publicity, but it’s pretty obvious from Silva’s out-of-character comments two weeks ago that he heavily dislikes Sonnen.
This is just one more reason why fans should be stoked for this heavily-anticipated rematch.
