I’m not sure what was more shocking, to hear this singer completely bomb on the National Anthem, or to find out that Butterbean was actually fighting … in MMA no less. Alas it is true, King Hippo was fighting in Poland as part of an event called KSW XIV, whatever that is. I have no idea who the singer was leading up to this fight but I’m guessing it was a Polish dude who couldn’t remember the words to the Star-Spangled Bannger. As for the actual fight, Butterbean was taken down by Polish strong man Mariusz Pudzianowski in the first round and tapped out. You’d have to say the National Anthem getting botched was the best part, but running a close second was seeing Butterbean hit the mat after Pudzianowski took him down. I’ve never seen a beached whale before but I have to imagine that’s exactly how it would look. Priceless.
