Impatience, frustration and selfishness are a few of the many words that come to mind when basketball fans think about the NBA lockout. Another crucial one: boredom. With games cancelled through the middle of December, it is looking more like a genuine possibility that we won’t have NBA basketball this season. Superstars like Kevin Durant have reached the point where it is time to entertain the thought of playing in Europe, while others like LeBron have resorted to dunking on little kids. Others like Rudy Gay are making their owners cringe. No, not by saying the wrong things or threatening to play overseas — by jumping off a ledge and dunking on 25-foot hoop. Granted Gay fell 25 feet into a pit of foam blocks, but this definitely isn’t the type of thing you want to see your players doing with their free time. When players start dunking on hoops that are 2.5 times the height of a regulation basket, bad things start happening. Time to accept the deal.
