Jamal Murray helped his Denver Nuggets to an overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night with some clutch plays that were aided by his ears.
The Nuggets were down 111-108 with under five seconds left and Milwaukee getting ready to inbound the ball. Murray was able to get a steal and then was fouled. He made all three free throws to tie the game, which sent it to overtime where Denver won it.
So how did Murray get the steal? According to Action Network’s Matt Moore, Murray said he heard Jason Terry tip his hand about where he was going to run for the ball.
Jamal Murray says Jason Terry said out loud he was going to come up on the inbounds. Murray read that and came in for the steal.
