Jerry Jones to Dallas fans in July: Come watch us beat the Giants’ ass LOL

Jerry Jones is a helluva lot better salesman than he is a GM, that’s for sure.

Back when the Dallas Cowboys opened training camp in Oxnard, Calif., in July, Jones boasted to the fans “I want you to come to [Cowboys Stadium] and watch us beat the New York Giants’ ass, OK?”

The Cowboys stunned NFL fans by beating the Giants on the road to open the NFL season, but they failed to make good on Jones’ training camp declaration. They lost to the Giants 29-24 at home on Sunday and are now 0-4 at home against them since the new stadium opened.

Jones’ boast also proved to be motivation for the Giants’ players.

“Yeah, yeah, I remember that very well,” wide receiver Victor Cruz said in the week leading up to the game.

“Oh, definitely,” Ahmad Bradshaw said of whether he remembered what Jones said. “We take pride in the billboard postings and different things and what’s motivation to our team. We just use it all for motivation for the game.”

29-24. 0-4 at Cowboys Stadium. What other words are you going to use to pump up your fans’ butts, Jer?
