Chris Sale not apologizing for his ejection

Chris Sale

Chris Sale had no desire to apologize for his ejection during Wednesday’s win over the Orioles.

Sale pitched six-plus innings of one-run ball in Boston’s 5-1 win over Baltimore. He was lifted after walking the first two batters to start the seventh. As he was exiting the field, Sale had some words for home plate umpire Brian Knight, which led to him being ejected … after his start had ended.

After the game, Sale addressed his ejection and said he really had no regrets over it.

Sale’s lack of an apology shouldn’t really come as a surprise. If you recall what he had to say following his embarrassing 2016 incident with the White Sox, this would not shock you.

The southpaw got the win and is now 6-4 with a 2.75 ERA this season.
