Report: Chris Sale threw ‘temper tantrum,’ has issues with front office
Chicago White Sox pitcher Chris Sale was reportedly scratched from his start Saturday night due to issues he is having with the team’s front office.
Shortly after the White Sox announced that Sale had been sent home from the ballpark at the last second over a “clubhouse incident” that was not physical, Jerry Crasnick reported that something happened between Sale and team executives — not any of the left-hander’s teammates.
The Chris Sale incident with #whitesox was with front/office staff, source says. No problems with any teammates.

The Sale incident began with something "silly" that mushroomed into a bigger argument, says a source. #Whitesox

Not sure if or how Kenny Williams was involved. Sale has had strained relations with #whitesox and things finally boiled over.

There were other rumblings that Sale threw a “temper tantrum.”
SOURCE: Sale had a temper tantrum in the clubhouse and forced the #WhiteSox hand. Forced to be sent home due to his behavior.

The fact that the team did not cover for Sale by saying he had an illness or a personal matter to tend to says a lot. You can read the full statement the White Sox released here.
Sale has been garnering trade interest from numerous teams, and you have to think Saturday night’s incident makes it all the more likely he will be dealt.
