JA Happ is the second prominent MLB pitcher to contract hand, foot and mouth disease this year, but there is somewhat of a positive to his case.
According to New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman, Happ has a mild case of the illness and should be able to start on Saturday.
Cashman said that Happ is still scheduled to start on Saturday at Boston, but they are limiting Cessa to one inning at AAA just in case. https://t.co/HqpXLiZtzs

Happ was recently acquired by the Yankees in a trade with the AL East rival Toronto Blue Jays and got a win on Sunday in his first start with the team. The Yankees are hoping — and expecting — that Happ will not need to miss any time.
The 35-year-old southpaw is 11-5 with a 4.05 ERA this season. Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard is the other pitcher to recently have the same illness.
