Ronald Acuña Jr’s season may have ended back in May, but his little brother is still making sure to represent for him.
New York Mets infielder Luisangel Acuña went viral during Game 1 of the NLDS Saturday over a nice gesture for his older brother Ronald, the Atlanta Braves star. Luisangel was wearing a batting guard in the same style as the one that Ronald wears at the plate. The batting guard features the name “Acuña” and the word “Thirteen” (No. 13 is Ronald’s jersey number).

The former NL MVP Ronald suffered a season-ending torn ACL in May, and his Braves went on to be eliminated from the playoffs in the Wild Card series by the San Diego Padres. But Luisangel, who was just called up the Mets for his MLB debut in September, is happy to keep the family tradition going.
Luisangel, having entered in the eighth inning on Saturday as a defensive replacement, would strike out in his only at-bat of the contest. But the Mets would still go on to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-2 in an exciting game that had a little bit of everything.
