Martha Stewart learned about the wrath of sports Twitter on Monday when she was blamed for ruining New York Yankee starter Michael Pineda’s perfect game bid.
Stewart attended Monday’s home opener at Yankee Stadium, with the team hosting the Tampa Bay Rays. The crowd was treated to quite the show, with Pineda retiring the first 20 Rays he faced in order, taking a perfect game into the seventh inning. Naturally, Stewart had to tweet about it.
It's top of the seventh here at yankee stadium and the Yankees are pitching a perfect game versus the Tampa rays

As you’re probably aware, mentioning a no-hitter or perfect game in progress is tantamount to a cardinal sin for some people, and unluckily for Stewart, Pineda lost his perfect game bid just two minutes later, when Evan Longoria doubled.
Naturally, the internet came for her.
@MarthaStewart You just jinxed it!

Mentioning an event like this while it’s happening can get anyone in trouble if it ends up being broken up. Stewart was just going to have to learn that the hard way.
