Gary Harris expected to miss 3-4 weeks with hip injury

Gary Harris

Gary Harris has been out since injuring his hip on Monday against Toronto, and it looks like he will miss about a month as he recovers.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Saturday that Harris will need about 3-4 weeks to recover from his hip strain.

Harris, 24, has averaged 16.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season.

The Denver Nuggets have been great this season, going 17-8 to start the year. However, they’ve been crushed by injuries. Not only is Harris out, but Will Barton is too, and Paul Millsap just broke his toe on Friday night. On top of all that, they have Isaiah Thomas still looking to return, and draft pick Michael Porter Jr. potentially out for the season. They need some healthy bodies badly.
