John Wall does not think his backcourt mate is itching to leave Washington.
Speaking at his charity event over the weekend, the Wizards point guard said that he believes teammate Bradley Beal will take the team’s extension offer.
“I think he’ll sign it,” said Wall, per Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington. “Brad’s a very smart guy. He’s going to make the best decision for himself and the organization. He enjoys D.C. I mean, he won the Community Assist Award for all the things he did here. He loves playing with me.”

The 26-year-old Beal was tendered a three-year, $111 million max offer by the Wizards this summer, which he has until Oct. 21 to accept. Should he elect to turn it down, Beal would be eligible to hit free agency in 2021.
An All-Star in each of the last two seasons, Beal has spent his entire seven-year career with Washington. But the Wizards are going nowhere for the foreseeable future (thanks in part to the supermax they are paying to the injured Wall), and many believe a Beal departure is a foregone conclusion.
