The memorial honoring Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and the seven other people who died in a helicopter crash last month is sure to be one of the biggest events in the history of Staples Center, and we now know when it will take place.

Bryant’s wife Vanessa announced on Instagram Friday that a remembrance service for Kobe and Gianna will be held at Staples Center on Feb. 24.

Thousands of people are expected to be in attendance at Staples Center and the surrounding area. The Lakers have already paid tribute to Kobe and Gianna in numerous ways, but there are countless fans who are going to want to pay their respects at the memorial service.

Plans from the Los Angeles City Council are reportedly in the works to possibly name a street after Kobe, but it’s unclear when that might happen.
