Jianlian was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He played one season for the Bucks before being traded to the Nets. He was with the Nets for two seasons, then the Wizards and eventually the Mavs.
Jianlian’s last season in the NBA came in 2011-2012 when he played 30 games for Dallas and then shuttled up and down from the D-League. He averaged 7.9 points and 4.9 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game during his five seasons in the league.
Jianlian has been China’s top player during the Olympics. He scored 20 points in losses to Serbia and Australia; 25 against the US; 18 and 10 against Venezuela; and 19 points against France.
