Former LeBron James lawyer lands job with Clippers
A lawyer who used to work with LeBron James is crossing over to the other side of the hallway.
Brian Baxter of Bloomberg Law reported on Thursday that the LA Clippers have hired attorney Jennifer Lewis to be their new general counsel. Lewis previously worked for SpringHill Company, the entertainment development and production company founded by the Los Angeles Lakers star James and his business partner Maverick Carter.
Baxter notes that Lewis had worked at SpringHill, serving as their first-ever general counsel, for nearly two years. She also previously had both legal and business affairs roles with entertainment giants such as Disney, Sony, and MGM Studios. You can read Baxter’s full article on the Clippers’ hire of Lewis here.
Lewis takes over for the Clippers’ former general counsel Nicole Duckett, who reportedly left to launch her own consultancy for athletes. Of course, Lewis isn’t the only Clippers figure with a strong connection to James either.
