Luka Dončić continued to add to his NBA highlight reel during Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Dončić has been just what the Dallas Mavericks hoped for and more so far in his first NBA season. He looks set to be the franchise’s centerpiece for the forseeable future, taking the torch from the legendary Dirk Nowitzki.
Leading up to the NBA Draft, scouts were impressed with Dončić’s offensive game. On Monday, he provided another example why. Dončić faked out Josh Hart with a killer stepback and made a three-pointer with ease.

Dončić is well on his way to winning the Rookie of the Year Award, just like this coach knew he would. Through 38 games he is averaging 19.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
