Memphis Grizzlies suffer worst loss in franchise history
The Memphis Grizzlies played a game to forget on Thursday night.
The Grizzlies got destroyed by the Charlotte Hornets 140-79 for their worst loss in franchise history. They were defeated by a margin of 61 points — the largest in franchise history (and sixth largest in NBA history). The 140 points were also the most allowed in team history, according to Grizzlies.com’s Michael Wallace.
-Worst loss in franchise history.
-Most points allowed in franchise.
-First time going 0-15 vs East in franchise history.
This 140-79 Grizzlies loss to the Hornets probably represents rock bottom this season. Probably.

The loss drops the Grizzlies to 19-53 on the season, including 5-30 on the road. They also went 0-15 against the Eastern Conference for the first time in their history.
The only thing that could make them feel better about the loss would be the No. 1 pick in the draft.
