Patrick Beverley returns to Clippers on $40 million deal
Patrick Beverley has finally secured the kind of contract he was dreaming of.
Beverley is returning to the LA Clippers on a 3-year, $40 million deal, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported on Sunday night. Beverley seemed grateful and elated to receive the deal:

The Dallas Mavericks were viewed as suitors for feisty guard in free agency, but he returns to the Clippers, who had plenty of cap room to spare. The Clippers are among the teams waiting on Kawhi Leonard’s free agency decision and saw most top players find new homes. With few remaining options for their cap space, they decided to bring back Beverley — one of the top remaining players on the market.
The Clippers still have plenty of cap space left to give Leonard the max salary and have money to spare.
