Paul George fined for criticism of officials
Unsurprisingly, Paul George’s comments about how the Oklahoma City Thunder are officiated did not go unnoticed by the league office.
George has been fined $25,000 for his extended commentary on the officiating after Friday’s 118-110 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. George was hit with a technical foul during the first quarter of the game and ultimately fouled out with about four minutes to go.

George said Friday that the Thunder hadn’t “gotten a fair whistle all year” and even admitted he knew he’d be fined for his comments.
After this, Paul George said, “I’m going to lose money on this. We speak up, we lose money. There’s nothing I can do to change that.” pic.twitter.com/u3gnuevMdW

George hasn’t been shy about talking about how the Thunder get the short end of officiating decisions in the past. He knows it will cost him money and he doesn’t really care.
