Stan Van Gundy’s instructions to his team to “form a f—ing wall” at the end of a win over the San Antonio Spurs this week has become a viral catch phrase of sorts.
The Detroit Pistons are rolling with the funny phrase that Stan Van told his team Tuesday night and even did a few things prior to Friday’s game to play off the instructions.
The Pistons dance team had T-shirts made that said “The Wall vs. Everybody.”

And according to Bleacher Report’s Ethan J. Skolnick, the Pistons came out to Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” for entrances.

Van Gundy didn’t seem to understand the fascination with the phrase:

Here he is talking about it with the media.

“It’s a little weird … it’s strange to me, it really is,” Van Gundy said.
Well, if you were a fan, Stan, you would understand why we love it.
