Baker Mayfield changes phone number after calls from Georgia fans
Oklahoma will be taking on Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinal next month, and Bulldogs fans have wasted no time trying to make star quarterback Baker Mayfield’s life difficult.
Not long after the CFB Playoff matchups were announced on Sunday, Mayfield revealed on Twitter that he had to change his phone number after someone posted it on social media. The Heisman Trophy favorite sarcastically thanked Georgia fans for reaching out to him.
To whoever posted my cell #, bravo. But I got it changed! And to the Georgia fans that had the kind words of encouragement… I applaude your creativity

Mayfield is not unlike Johnny Manziel in that he is arguably the most polarizing figure in college football. He has gotten into it with fans and opposing players on numerous occasions this season, so we can only imagine what the Georgia supporters had to say to him.
The Sooners will have their work cut out for them against a Georgia defense that held Auburn to just seven points in the SEC Championship Game. Mayfield and Oklahoma boast the most explosive offense in the country, so the matchup should be a great one.
