Many college football players can’t wait to declare for the NFL Draft, go pro, and get that first big payday. Leonard Fournette does not seem to be one of them.
The LSU running back said at SEC Media Day on Thursday that he’s in no rush to go pro, and he has a very specific reason why not.
Leonard Fournette on whether he'll turn pro: "I love college. Everything is free."

This one will raise some eyebrows. Fournette probably just meant that with a scholarship, he doesn’t really have to pay for much around campus, which is what he was talking about:
LSU’s Leonard Fournette asked what’s free in college: “The food!”

Even though Fournette’s answer was innocent enough, it’s probably best not to brag about free stuff in any context, especially when he — or more specifically his family — has already been investigated in the past.
