Noah Knigga was one of the most well known high school recruits in the country because of his name, and it appears the linebacker is already incredibly popular with his new teammates as well.
Knigga attended his first official practice with Eastern Michigan on Monday. His teammates went crazy when he was introduced by a staffer with a megaphone.
Players were jumping up and down as Knigga made his way through the crowd.

Knigga is a 3-star recruit from Lawrenceburg, Ind. He committed to Eastern Michigan a year ago over West Virginia and Arkansas State. He owns the Lawrenceburg High School record with 67 tackles for loss and was a a four-time all-conference honoree.
Knigga’s official bio on the Eastern Michigan football website says his last name is pronounced “kuh-NAY-guh.” That is what Knigga said in an interview last year as well, but the staffer who introduced him at Eastern Michigan practice seemed to pronounce it just like it is spelled.
As you might expect, there have been endless jokes on social media about Knigga’s name. He is going to be a popular player for obvious reasons, and that may prove to be quite profitable for him in the NIL era.
