Willie Taggart’s success at South Florida has not gone unnoticed, and it apparently has led some in Oregon to become intrigued.
FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman reports that Taggart is a strong candidate for the Oregon head coaching job.

Taggart was a former star quarterback at Western Kentucky under Jack Harbaugh. He was recruited by Jim Harbaugh and coached on Harbaugh’s Stanford staff before taking the head coaching job at WKU. After turning that program around by going 7-5 in consecutive seasons, Taggart took the South Florida job. He struggled initially after taking over for Skip Holtz, but the Bulls are 10-2 this season after going 8-5 last year.
In addition to Taggart, Ohio State’s Greg Schiano, Western Michigan’s PJ Fleck, and Boise State’s Bryan Harsin are among some of the names who have been mentioned in connection to the Oregon job.
