Dave Bautista is a very, very large man. Chris Pratt isn’t exactly a small guy, but the actor would be squashed like a pesky insect if he ever went toe-to-toe with Bautista. That’s why the thought of Pratt challenging the 6-foot-6, 278-pound WWE star to a fight is hilarious.
During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to promote their upcoming movie “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Bautista and Pratt told a funny story about Pratt texting the six-time WWE champion and telling him he could take him.
“I get this text … Chris and I were both amateur wrestlers and I get this text one night … it’s the sweetest text in the world,” Bautista recalled. “He’s telling me how much he loves me and he says he’s so proud of me. He’s amazed I’m doing such a great job, and then the farther you go down … he’s calling me out in this text saying he thinks he could take me and he said nobody has to know!”
Pratt then explained that he had no recollection of sending the text because he was under the influence — of sleep medication.
“He came up to me and goes, ‘Chris, I want to talk to you about this text you sent last night,’ and I was like, ‘what text?'” Pratt said. “I had taken an Ambien the night before. It was like a drunk text.”
Bautista was obviously forgiving of the boneheaded challenge, otherwise Pratt would no longer be with us.
