Antonio Brown shouts out Saints following reports they want to sign him

Antonio Brown

The New Orleans Saints were reportedly blown away by Antonio Brown’s abilities when he worked out for the team earlier this week, and the star wide receiver may already be envisioning himself in black and gold.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter said Sunday morning that the Saints would like to sign Brown if they could get some clarity on his status from the NFL, and Brown already seems on board with that. He tweeted “Who Dat” not long after the report was relayed.

Brown would likely take any contract he can get at this point, so signing with one of the best teams in the NFC would be a best-case scenario for him. However, Sean Payton said earlier in the week that the Saints would need to know if Brown is going to be available for the postseason before they make a decision, and it is a virtual certainty that the NFL is not going to clear him in time.

The NFL has yet to conclude its investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations against Brown, and the league could just place him on the commissioner’s exempt list even if a team were to sign him. Brown had a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by a former friend and personal trainer earlier this year, and a second woman whom he hired to do some artwork at his house has since accused him of sexual misconduct.

Brown has blasted the NFL numerous times and claimed he is done playing football, but we all know he’s just angry over his situation. Even if he is suspended multiple games, it would be a surprise if he didn’t sign with a team this offseason.
