Brandon Spikes busted out a hilarious dance during the third quarter of Sunday’s playoff game between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans.
Texans quarterback Matt Schaub threw a pass to Owen Daniels who had the ball knocked out of his hands by Jerod Mayo on a second-and-four play. The Patriots recovered the ball, and Spikes used a creative dance to make sure everyone knew who had possession. He went all electric boogaloo on all of us.
Unfortunately the referees botched the call and ruled that the play was dead before the fumble because of forward progress. The ruling made little sense to me; Daniels was still fighting forward when he fumbled.
The Texans ended up punting on the possession, but they turned the ball back over on their next one. Ball don’t lie.
