Cam Ward had fun way of hinting Titans are taking him first in NFL Draft

Projected No. 1 pick Cam Ward on Tuesday had some fun with fans while streaming himself playing Fortnite.

It’s an open secret that the Tennessee Titans plan to take Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Miami quarterback sure acted like it as his viewers quizzed him during his Fortnite stream.

During the gaming session, Ward was asked to name who he believed to be the top four running backs in the NFL. Instead of starting his list with Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry, Ward went with the Titans’ top two running backs.

“My top four running backs in the league right now? I would say Tony Pollard, [Tyjae] Spears,” Ward answered.

Cam Ward knows exactly where he’s going 😂

Ward kept the shenanigans going when asked to make a similar list for the best wide receivers in the NFL today. He started with Tennessee’s WR1 Calvin Ridley and ended the list with the Titans’ 2022 first-round pick Treylon Burks.

“Ridley, Ja’Marr [Chase], Justin [Jefferson], and for my last one? My last one? Treylon Burks,” said Ward.

2) Ja’Marr Chase
3) Justin Jefferson
4) Treylon Burks

Sure sounds like someone who knows he’s about to be a Tennessee Titan. 😂

Putting Ridley on a list with Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson was already pretty laughable in its own right. But including Burks showed that Ward was purely teasing his loyalty to the Titans before things become official later this month.

Burks has just 53 catches for 699 yards and a single touchdown across his first three NFL seasons. Both Chase and Jefferson surpassed those numbers through Week 9 of the 2024 season alone.

There’s still a possibility that another team overwhelms Tennessee with a huge trade package for Ward. If that happens, Cam will have a hard time living his Titans-centered takes down.
