Deshaun Watson has supreme confidence in himself when it comes to leading his team to victory in late-game situations.
The Houston Texans on Saturday rebounded from a loss last week to the Indianapolis Colts to earn their 10th victory of the season. A game that looked on paper like it would be a relatively easy win for the Texans was anything but.
The New York Jets didn’t go quietly and scored a touchdown with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to take a 22-19 lead. However, on the ensuing drive, Watson led the Texans down the field and connected with DeAndre Hopkins on a 14-yard touchdown pass to put Houston up 26-22 with just over two minutes left in regulation.
After the game, Watson said game-winning drives are “in his DNA.”

There may be something to that. Watson is in very good company when it comes to coming up big in the clutch.

It’s not a coincidence that the Texans are now 10-4. They have one of the best QBs in the league on their side.
