Deshaun Watson made an impressive play rushing for a touchdown in the second quarter of his Houston Texans’ “Monday Night Football” game against the New Orleans Saints, but he appeared to get hurt while doing so.
The Texans had a 4th-and-1 at the New Orleans 21 and decided to go for it. They called a QB run that put Watson into space, and he ran towards the end zone and dove in for the touchdown. He had to catch some air to make it in and landed on his back:

Watson stayed down in the end zone as his teammates came to celebrate with him. He then went into the medical tent on Houston’s sideline.
ESPN showed backup quarterback AJ McCarron getting ready for the Texans just in case Watson could not return to the game. Watson was 4-of-8 for 81 yards and had the rushing touchdown before getting hurt.
Watson had a significant chest injury that he played through last season and did not miss a game in 2018.
