Shortly after their Super Bowl LIII victory over the Los Angeles Rams, the New England Patriots lost linebackers coach and defensive play-caller, Brian Flores, to the Miami Dolphins, where he was brought in as the 13th head coach in franchise history.
While that move was anticipated and addressed on Wednesday with hiring of Greg Schiano as defensive coordinator, the Patriots may not have been as well-prepared for other members of their staff to be poached.
Shortly after the Schiano news hit the wire, Field Yates of ESPN reported that Patriots wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea had also been poached by the Dolphins, being hired by Flores as the team’s offensive coordinator.

Now official: the Dolphins are hiring Patriots WR coach Chad O'Shea as their new offensive coordinator, per source.

O’Shea had an extended tenure in New England, serving as their wide receivers coach from 2009-2018. Prior to that, he spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings in various roles.
In addition to O’Shea, the Dolphins also hired former NFL wide receiver Tiquan Underwood as their offensive quality control coach.
