The Philadelphia Eagles are giving Nick Foles a well-deserved raise.
Foles and the Eagles have reportedly agreed to a revised contract that rewards their Super Bowl winning quarterback, gives him a significant signing bonus and potential incentives, and also allows him to hit free agency in a year if he so chooses.
The Eagles and QB Nick Foles reached agreement on a revised contract for the 2018 season today, sources say. The deal includes a mutual option for the 2019 season, so Foles still has the chance to hit free agency next spring. Team wanted to reward the Super Bowl MVP.

To add to @MikeGarafolo’s report on the raise for #Eagles QB Nick Foles: He got a $2M signing bonus and several millions in incentives if he’s the starter and hits various benchmarks, source said.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo made clear that Foles’s new deal should not be taken as an indication of how the Eagles feel about Carson Wentz and his recovery.
Foles' deal was about hooking him up after his performance in the postseason. It is not a reflection of the team's feeling on Wentz's recovery. They remain confident he's working his way back.

If you needed any further evidence of what the Eagles think of Foles, here you have it. He may not see much time in 2018, but he’s well-compensated, and he can go into free agency in a year if he wants to.
