Eagles trade Sam Bradford to Vikings for first-round pick
The Minnesota Vikings have acted swiftly to address their quarterback situation, and the outcome is a big surprise.
Quarterback Sam Bradford is headed to Minnesota in exchange for a pair of draft picks, including the Vikings’ 2017 first rounder.

Bradford, who has had something of an acrimonious relationship with the Eagles since the Carson Wentz selection, is reportedly happy about the move.
Source says Sam Bradford is "thrilled" by the trade to Minnesota.

This very much came out of the blue. Bradford signed a new contract with Philadelphia back in March, but the team’s decision to trade up and draft Wentz left him disillusioned. Ultimately, things seemed to be smoothed over between the two sides and he’d won the starting job back, but this seems to have been an offer from a desperate Minnesota team that the Eagles could not refuse. You can’t blame them. To get a first-round pick for a quarterback as marginal as Bradford seems like a win for Philadelphia, particularly since they can simply turn and hand Chase Daniel the job without really missing a whole lot. Perhaps this means the Wentz era isn’t as far off as it had appeared to be.
