Freddie Kitchens calls out ‘unfair’ media over Jarvis Landry comments
No, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry did not guarantee a win over the New England Patriots on Sunday. Many reported it that way, though, which has left coach Freddie Kitchens annoyed.
Kitchens criticized reporters on Wednesday, saying it was “unfair” for the media to suggest that Landry had guaranteed the Browns were going to hand the Patriots their first defeat of the season.

Landry did say the Browns were going to win, but it wasn’t phrased as a guarantee and the Patriots weren’t even mentioned. That didn’t stop from the quotes spreading quickly, and Bill Belichick even used it as bulletin board material. It’s understandable why Kitchens would be annoyed. It’s not like the Patriots need to be even more motivated against his team on Sunday.
