Report: Giants plan to make Pat Shurmur head coach
CBS Sports’s Jason La Canfora and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport both reported Monday that the Giants plan to offer Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur their head coaching position once his playoff run is over.

La Canfora notes that the news will be particularly disappointing to the Arizona Cardinals, who had Shurmur at the top of their coaching list.
Shurmur spent two poor seasons as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, going 9-23. Through his work in Philadelphia and Minnesota, he has rehabilitated his reputation, winning many plaudits for his excellent Vikings offense in 2017. The question now is what he’ll do with Eli Manning, and whether he’ll perhaps try to bring in his own guy, as has been speculated.
