Report: Jets making final offer to Le’Veon Bell after being spurned by LB
The New York Jets have suddenly found some extra money to spend after one star free agent backed out of a verbal agreement to sign with them, and they are hoping to spend it on Le’Veon Bell.
On Monday, the Jets agreed to a deal with Anthony Barr. The free agent linebacker informed them that he needed to sleep on his decision overnight, and he has now chosen to stay with the Minnesota Vikings after they upped their offer. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jets have turned the disappointing outcome with Barr into one final “big offer” for Bell.
With Anthony Barr spurning the #Jets, they have some extra money. I’m told they’ve taken some of that money and made a last and final big offer to Le’Veon Bell. It’s decision time for the ex-#Steelers RB.

The Jets have been considered the favorites to sign Bell all along, and a change the running back made to his Twitter page on Tuesday had fans thinking that was close to happening. Bell hinted on Monday that he is mulling offers from multiple teams, and the Jets are obviously one of them.
