Rawls was once touted as Marshawn Lynch’s heir apparent in Seattle, but things just didn’t quite work out. Part of that was due to injury, but even once healthy, he didn’t really perform as they’d have expected. The 24-year-old was limited to just 58 carries last season, and he failed to get into the end zone.
Still, this is a guy who ran for 830 yards as a rookie and went for 161 yards in a playoff game, so it’s well worth the effort for the Jets.
