The Indianapolis Colts may be down to a few finalists for their head coaching vacancy.
According to The Monday Morning Quarterback’s Albert Breer, Josh McDaniels and Mike Vrabel are finalists for the Colts job.
Per sources, Patriots OC Josh McDaniels and Texans DC Mike Vrabel have emerged as finalists for the Colts job. Indy could still add a candidate, I’m told. But those are the 2 in it now.

Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richard and Baylor head coach Matt Rhule were two others to interview for the position. So did former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, who ended up taking the Chicago Bears’ head coaching job. Panthers DC Steve Wilks was supposed to interview for the job, but that didn’t happen.
McDaniels, 41, previously served as head coach of the Denver Broncos for fewer than two seasons. He is in his second stint as Patriots offensive coordinator and has held the position since 2012. Some believe he could try to wait around until Bill Belichick retires to take over the Patriots job.
Vrabel, 42, is a former Patriots player. He has been a defensive coach with the Texans since 2014 and just completed his first season as the franchise’s defensive coordinator.
