Watch: Lamar Jackson apologized to teammates after first fumble of season

Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson has established himself as the most electrifying player in the National Football League this year, but he is also proving on a weekly basis that he is a tremendous leader. We saw yet another example of that with how he reacted to losing his first fumble of the season on Sunday.

Jackson lost what could have been a costly fumble in the Baltimore Ravens’ eventual win over the San Francisco 49ers, and he immediately began apologizing to his teammates on the sideline. The way they all reacted illustrates how much respect they have for the second-year quarterback.

“We’re riding with you regardless‼️”

“I got you, bro‼️”

This is a BROTHERHOOD.

Considering all the opportunities Jackson has to fumble between dropping back to pass and how often he runs with the ball, it is impressive that he went 11-plus games without losing one. But with the type of leader he has grown into in Baltimore, we’re guessing his teammates would react the same way whether he fumbled once or 10 times.

Jackson has had some awesome moments on the sideline captured this year, and for some people those are just as impressive as the way he can make opposing defenders look silly on a weekly basis.
