LJ Fort found himself in a pretty unique situation this season.
The Baltimore Ravens linebacker told reporters on Friday that he received half the playoff share from the Philadelphia Eagles, whom he started the season with, because of their advancing to the Wild Card Round. This was on top of his regular playoff share from the Ravens, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
The 30-year-old Fort played four games for the Eagles this season before being released in September. He then signed with the Ravens and landed a two-year extension with them shortly thereafter.
With Philadelphia falling in their Wild Card game to the Seattle Seahawks and the Ravens still very much alive in the playoffs — perhaps even the Super Bowl favorite — it’s safe to say that Fort got the best of all worlds. It’s a situation reminiscent of this star who is leading another potential title frontrunner.
