Odell Beckham Jr. will face arguably his toughest test of the year in Week 1 when he lines up opposite Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey, but the star receiver insists he is going to keep his emotions in check.
In the past, Beckham has been known for letting trash-talking opponents get under his skin. Armed with a fat new contract, he says those days are behind him.

“I think I learned my lesson,” Beckham told reporters on Wednesday.
Beckham’s most notable dust-ups have come when he faces star cornerback Josh Norman, whom he came to blows with a few seasons ago. Outbursts like that were part of the reason the Giants were hesitant to give Beckham a massive contract extension, but he is committed to proving they made the right choice.

While Ramsey will likely do everything he can to distract Beckham on Sunday, OBJ should look no further than all the trash Ramsey has talked about opposing players this offseason. That’s simply his game, and Beckham would be wise to ignore it.
