As is generally the case this time of year, the list of the NFL Network’s top 100 players (as chosen by the players themselves) has been released. Odell Beckham Jr. doesn’t appear to be satisfied with his place.
It’s tough to argue with the names at the top of the list. Cam Newton, Tom Brady, and J.J. Watt certainly deserves their spots. As do Antonio Brown, Adrian Peterson, Aaron Rodgers, Luke Kuechly, Julio Jones, and Rob Gronkowski. The No. 10 spot spot belongs to Beckham, who said in an Instagram post that’s “not good enough” and he’s “gotta do more.”

There’s certainly no shame in being ranked the tenth best player in the league by your peers. Neither is being placed just behind Antonio Brown and Julio Jones as far as receivers go. However, the drive to be the best is obviously strong for the 23-year-old highlight maker and I’m not going to be the one to bet against him.
Beckham has been named the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons in the NFL. He’s also already established quite a few Giants franchise records like most receiving yards (1,305) and receptions (91) by a rookie. Beckham’s 176 receptions are the most in NFL history by a player in his first two seasons and he became the fastest to surpass 100 and 150 receptions.
Who knows what the “more” Beckham is referring to is, but Giants fans and the organization surely can’t wait to see. Defensive coordinators around the league, on the other hand, can’t be very excited.
