Derek Carr may be frustrated that he has not signed a contract extension with the Oakland Raiders by now, but all signs indicate a new deal is forthcoming.
On Thursday, Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie all but guaranteed Carr is not going anywhere.
Reggie: "We're going to make sure (Carr) contract gets done … I want Derek to be a Raider his entire career." Nothing new there

Carr is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and he is scheduled to make just under $1 million in 2017. Coming off back-to-back seasons in which he threw for over 4,000 yards and averaged 30 touchdown passes, you can understand why Carr is reportedly starting to get impatient.
At just 26, Carr is one of the best young quarterbacks in football. He’s going to get paid, it’s just a matter of if his average annual salary will exceed the $24 million Andrew Luck gets from the Indianapolis Colts. Don’t be surprised if the Raiders match that number for Carr.
